The National Cadet Corps is the Indian military cadet corps with its head Quarters
at New Delhi. It is open to school and college students on voluntary basis.The National Cadet Corps in India are a voluntary
organization which recruits cadets from high schools, colleges and Universities all over India. The Cadets are given basic
military training in small arms and parades. The officers and cadets have no liability for active military service once they
complete their course but are given preference over normal candidates during selections based on the achievements in the corps.
As NCC introduced at VNITSW in the year of 2021 for the 1st time, NCC got great entry.Inauguration is conducted to welcome NCC
Unit. In the presence of unit respected members and the college administrator’s inauguration completed successfully.On the day
of 18th of the month February in the year 2021 the event enrolment of the cadets took place at venue of the college of VNITSW.
Total of the 30 students got qualified for the NCC and got the rank as CADET among the total students of 78 who participated in
the qualifications. As first step, to start NCC in the college VignanNirula Institute of Technology and Science for women,
allotted NCC regimental numbers for the college cadets from AP20SWA/419301 to AP20SWA/419380.
Aim of VNITSW NCC Unit:
• To develop qualities of character, courage, commandership, discipline,
leadership, secular outlook, spirit of adventure and sportsmanship and the ideals of selfless service among the youth to make
them useful citizen.
• To create a human resource of organized trained and motivated youth to provide leadership in all walks
of life including the Armed Forces and be always available for the service of the nation.
• To Provide a Suitable Environment to Motivate the Youth to Take Up a Career in the Armed Forces.
• To Develop Character, Comradeship, Discipline, Leadership, Secular Outlook, Spirit of Adventure, and Ideals of Selfless
Service amongst the Youth of the Country.
