NSS Activities
NSS unit of Vignan's Nirula is initiated under the National Service Scheme(NSS), institutionalized under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports Govt. of India.
The unit has around 120 volunteers.
Our sole aim is to motivate students at Vignan's Nirula to indulge in nation building activities through various events and projects which are aimed towards the benefit of people in and around Guntur.
We share the belief that such activities are almost always means of great satisfaction and joy.
The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a Central Sector Scheme of Government of India, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports. It provides opportunity to the student youth of 11th & 12th Class of schools at +2 Board level and student youth of Technical Institution, Graduate & Post Graduate at colleges and University level of India to take part in various government led community service activities & programmes. The sole aim of the NSS is to provide hands on experience to young students in delivering community service. NSS unit has been sanctioned to Vignan’s Nirula by JNTUK on 26-06-2019 as self funded unit with Dr.V.Sujatha, Assoc. Professor, CSE Dept. as Programme Officer. VNITSW NSS unit is established with 6 committee members and 163 student volunteers. Our sole aim is to motivate students at Vignan’s Nirula to indulge in nation building activities through various events and projects which are aimed towards the benefit of people in and around Guntur. TITLE : Blood Donation Camp
DESCRIPTION :
Blood donation was organized in our college on the event of our beloved chairman sir birthday. The program was arranged by our nss members and medical team. Students were asked to donate their blood so that it could be used to the people who are in needy situation. Donating blood not only helps needy people but is also beneficial for our own health. It triggers our liver to make more blood. "Donate blood and be the reason of someone existence."
TITLE : Meri Matti Meri Deshi
DESCRIPTION :
"MERE MATTI MERI DESHI" Is conducted in our college at aug:20 . The nss student volunteers along with their nss program officer and entire faculty in my college took an oath and they are showing their love towards the nation. "MERE MATTI MERA DESH" Encapsulates the sentiment that the soil we stand upon is not just a piece of land but a part of our identity. The program is launched to pay the tribute to the brave hearts who laid down their lives in country. Lighting a lamp signifies a removal. Of darkness from the mind. Holding soil, flag and plant showing their sentiment that soil we stand upon is not just a piece of land.
TITLE : Swacchata Divas
DESCRIPTION :
The vision of gandhi of an ideal village included perfect sanitation, and free of avoidable dust. Gandhiji birthday is celebrated as swacchata divas. Nss student volunteers along with their nss program officer started the program swacchata diwas in our college to maintain clean and green environment. Watering the plants taking care of the greenery and atmosphere present in our college is the main perspective. The occasion of swacchata divas is a timely remainder of how a clean environment has multiple benefits. It also helps reduce air and water_borne diseases. The day is observed to promote cleanliness and educate people on how they can contribute to keeping mother nature clean and green. "CLEAN INDIA GREEN INDIA"
TITLE : Mega Plantation Drive
DESCRIPTION :
Mega plantation drive organized in the adapted village chinnapalakluru. The nss student volunteers along with their nss program officer took an oath to look after the planted saplings, and encourage others to do the same. A total of 75 saplings were planted in the village by the students including tamarind, alla, neem, roe apple etc. Students has celebrated "mere matti meri deshi" And faculty also joined with great zeal showing their love towards the nature. "Plant a tree And save million of lives."
